Perfect for fans of Katy Evans and Monica Murphy, Sarah Robinson’s blistering-hot series debut introduces the Kavanagh brothers—mixed martial arts fighters who work hard, play hard, and love with all their hearts.

As one of the big names at his family’s gym, Legends, MMA star Rory Kavanagh is used to being in the spotlight—until a gruesome leg injury knocks him out of the cage. Rory is left feeling sidelined in more ways than one, battling the inner demons that come with losing the one shot at his dreams. Then Clare walks into his life and gives him a new dream: winning her heart. There aren’t many new faces in Woodlawn these days, but this tough, beautiful stranger makes Rory want to get his life back into fighting shape.

Clare Ivers doesn’t think she’ll be able to tell anyone what really brought her to the close-knit Bronx neighborhood where she just started bartending. But her life’s on pause and her past is catching up fast, try as she might to move on—with new friends, steady work, and a chiseled alpha male trying to get her attention. Even though Rory’s more than a little intense, she can’t deny that her heart beats faster when he looks at her with those soulful silver eyes. Clare thought she was done with love, but Rory might just be man enough to show her she thought wrong.

Breaking a Legend is the first book in Sarah Robinson’s new series entitled Kavanaugh Legends. This novel is about two individuals running from different things and finding something profound and special in one another. Will they have the courage to let down their carefully erected barriers and pursue their profound connection? Will what they share be the catalyst for change that they both desperately need?

Rory Kavanagh thought he had it all. His career as an MMA fighter couldn’t be going better. However, one mistake changed everything. Now, a year later, he still struggles with the pain from that day and uses alcohol and pills to dull both the physical pain and the emotional scars. His best friend is his constant companion, a rescue dog he adopted and rehabilitated, Ace. Rory had a reputation for his constant one night stands but the night he first saw the new tiny little blonde bartender at his family’s favorite bar, he knew she was something different.

Clare Ivers is new to the Woodlawn Community. She has made her way by tending bar at a local pub. When she meets the infamous Rory Kavanagh, there is an instant connection between the two. Clare didn’t move to NY to find romance but her will power to stay away was weak.  However, Clare decides to take a self-defense class at the Legends Gym, where she and Rory begin to see more of each other. It becomes evident that these two are meant to be.

What is most refreshing about this story is the family dynamics...a big Irish family. The supporting characters and have me so intrigued.  We meet three of the brothers Kane, Quinn and Jimmy. One brother Kieran is in prison and a mystery. Casey had a larger than life personality, who took no crap from anyone. One touch chic! The characters are well developed and care deeply for each other. The writing style is seamless and fluid. Again, the chemistry happens quickly between Rory and Clare and yet the journey they take together is slow and steady. The story is told in dual POV’s, which I personally love because you’re able to get both characters thoughts.
