Brooke
I’ve come from a privileged life and an even more privileged upbringing. My parents taught me right from wrong and everything in between… except I wanted the gray area. I wanted to live life on the edge with the possibility of falling over. I didn’t care about the consequences because I had no heart…
I left that on the floor of my parents’ bedroom door, shattered.
And never went back to pick up the pieces.

Devon
Family first.
I learned the meaning of the word hate.
I learned that life is a battlefield and I stood frontline.
I learned that praying doesn’t work and God doesn’t listen.
And I learned how to be a man…
All at the receiving end of my father’s fists, my mother’s tears, and my sisters screams.
You can’t run away from your past…
It will always find you, especially when you’re asleep.

Warning: Book contains adult situations.
Sex/language. Mature readers only.

Lynn’s Review

Tempting BAD is the 4th book in the VIP series by M. Robinson.  It can be read as a standalone,  but I believe that you would not have the full picture of all the characters and lack a total understanding of where each of them are in various relationships.   Having read VIP, The Madam, and MVP, I already knew the characters, and what they were capable of.  What I didn’t know, however; was the extent both Devon and Brooke were willing to go in order to find that lasting love.  All the books in the series are full of angst, emotion, love, dirty talking, and lots of sex.  Let me say this, Tempting BAD is no different.  You will not be disappointed at all.  In my opinion, this book is by far the best one yet.  M. Robinson’s writing continues to remain seamless and solid.  Like I said, this is my absolute favorite thus far.  Like the other books in the series, the plot and storyline weaves a very intricate web, allowing the reader to get caught up in it, while making you feel a variety of emotions.  You may think you know where the story is going…guess what???? YOU DON’T!!!

Brooke and Devon’s story is a story about being broken and not whole.  The journey to become whole is not an easy road for either of them. However, if the relationship means enough then it is worth the battle and the wounds you receive while fighting for other person. Brooke and Devon and both very difficult and stubborn and come with a lot of baggage and emotional scars.  Brooke came from a very loving family that has excellent curb appeal but lives a lie.  This totally ruins Brooke.  She no longer believes in love. Devon had a hard life growing up and had responsibility dumped in his lap at an early age.  My heart ached for him and everything he went through that molded him into who he was and what he believed in.  Two broken souls…reaching and yearning to be whole again.

“Everyone says love hurts, but you never imaged what it was going to feel like until it was too late. I wanted to believe in something so badly that it ended up destroying both of us. I couldn’t save her, as much as she couldn’t save me.”

This rollercoaster ride is full of anger, happiness, heartbreak, and love.  Brooke and Devon were just meant to be.  Through the stubbornness these two would find their way.  It wasn’t as easy road, but none of them ever are. It takes work, dedication, and commitment.  Can Devon be the knight in shining armor? Can Brooke open her heart and let him in? Or are they both so damaged that they will never be open to love? Can two broken pieces be whole together? You will definitely need to read to find out!

M. Robinson…love you to pieces and can’t wait for Mica’s story. So bring the heat!!

5 Stars *****

I was there, but I wasn’t.
I danced around in a sea of emptiness and longing, it moved around me easily, carelessly, harshly.
It was all and it was nothing.
It made me full and it made me empty.
It pleased me and it dismayed me.
I didn’t care. I was there to do a job. To be a VIP. I played my part beautifully, just as I always did. Letting myself get taken away on empty promises of nothing, but somehow seemed like everything.

M. Robinson loves to read. She favors anything that has angst, romance, triangles, cheating, love, and of course sex!
