Review of Back to You (Dreams #1.5) by Faith Andrews

Sometimes dreams aren’t meant to be chased. Sometimes forevers change with one regret. But when it’s worth the fight—we always wind up back where we belong. Mia and Declan have struggled through infidelity, guilt, and betrayal. Declan wasn’t too proud to lay his heart on the line and show Mia that she is his everything, but can these two find a way to get past all the hurt, to heal old wounds, and get back to good?

I’ll do all I have to do to find my way back to you.

5 Stars!

Review: I have loved Mia and Declan since reading Man of my Dreams. Their story is one that seems so realistic - it could be anyone's story. They fell in love in college, got married at the height of their love, followed by getting pregnant pretty quickly, followed by another pregnancy, and voila - they are living their dream. Five years into their marriage, however, everything that they know about one another is questioned and tested after Declan almost sleeps with another woman while away on a business trip.

Mia had also always had thoughts about the one that got away from her in high school, and, due to the timing of everything, she is going to a high school reunion while her marriage is falling apart, and runs into Noah, the old crush. She then begins to see him while she and Declan are disintegrating right before her eyes. Declan fights for Mia, however, and they slowly make their way back to one another. Then end, right? No...there is always more to the real story; there is never just a happy ending. That is where this book comes in.

This story takes place after Declan and Mia have made the decision to fight for one another and stay married. Both have a lot of guilt, both still have some blame, and both are so worried about hurting the other that they have been to quiet. It is not their five year anniversary, and they are going away on a quick trip to rekindle everything. Declan learns right before they leave that he is being offered a big promotion, professionally, but it will mean more time away from home. He must decide if his marriage will make it, with the recent strain that has already been put on it. Mia, on the other hand, still feels a lot of guilt for what she put Declan and their daughters through with some of her decisions. She has a hard time accepting Declan's forgiveness because she has not forgiven herself. Will they be able to work through all of these things? I loved this story!
